Admission follows height, not simply age
Official admission information checked on 13 October 2026 lists VND 60,000 for visitors at least 1.3 m tall, VND 40,000 from 1 m to under 1.3 m, and free entry below 1 m with a parent. Check children’s height beforehand; staff measurement decides borderline cases. This is gate admission, not a promise that every activity is included.
Start early rather than building a visit around closing
The dedicated official hours page lists daily opening from 07:00 to 18:30 and ticket sales ending at 17:30; a March 2026 official article instead says 18:00 closing. Because those pages differ, do not rely on the latest possible exit. Recheck announcements for your date. A morning-focused visit leaves an easier decision about staying after lunch.
Save the arrival point and check your ticket delivery
The official contact address is 2 Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm. Match the zoo name, street number and intended entrance before ordering a car. Choose a safe pickup point again when leaving rather than assuming any gate allows stopping. Enter ticketing through the official website, then check your inbox and spam folder and keep a readable confirmation. If it is missing, seek official ticket support before paying twice.
Choose two priorities and put a break between them
This is an editorial plan, not an operator-led timetable: on arrival, locate toilets, exits and your family’s two priority areas on the current map. Visit the first, take a seated water break, then decide whether everyone is ready for the second. Set a rough lunch and exit time. Avoid repeated backtracking for missed photographs. If adults split up, agree on a meeting point and keep children with an adult.
Treat animal activities as optional, not guaranteed
Individual activities may have their own sessions, capacity and charges; the zoo’s opening hours do not establish their availability. If one activity matters to a child, ask on arrival whether it is running, whether a separate ticket is required and how long the wait is. Do not feed animals your own food, tap glass or reach through barriers. Follow staff instructions for any permitted interaction and never pursue an animal that moves away.
Pack for comfort and decide when to shorten the visit
Bring drinking water, sun and rain protection, spare clothes where useful, and comfortable shoes with grip. For a stroller, wheelchair or older companion, ask the zoo about the entrance and usable routes rather than judging accessibility from photographs. Shorten the visit if anyone feels unwell in the heat, rain intensifies or children are tired. The ticket price is not a reason to stay all day. Find a sheltered, permitted pickup spot before summoning a car.
