What to see
Keep part of each day close to your accommodation and choose one main outing. Verify operating and transfer details separately for cable cars, theme attractions and boat trips; sharing an island name does not make them close together. Follow current sea guidance and never stand on coral.
What to eat
Try bún quậy and seafood. A night market is convenient, but prices still need checking; confirm the total before ordering seafood sold by weight. For fish sauce and other food souvenirs, check airline packing and carriage rules.
Where to stay
The central west coast can balance dining and transport. A northern base suits northern attractions; a southern base suits southern outings. Check beach usability, nearby restaurants and the actual shuttle coverage instead of treating the whole island as one resort zone.
Getting there & around
Arrange airport transfers around your actual hotel area after arriving at Phu Quoc Airport (PQC). For mainland ferry journeys, check the specific ports and weather cancellation arrangements. Port, town and airport pick-ups are not interchangeable.
Time & season
Allow four to five days and keep sea excursions away from the last possible day. Rain and wind direction affect individual coasts differently; seasonality gives a broad guide, never a promise of clear skies or calm water.
Planning pitfalls
Do not apply island-specific entry arrangements automatically to a mainland itinerary. If you will continue to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi or elsewhere, verify your passport, route and entry requirements with official immigration guidance.
