Central Vietnam
Coast, old towns and an imperial capital form a rewarding central route. Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue fit a coherent main journey. Nha Trang and Da Lat are further extensions that need a separate transport plan.
The day-by-day plan
Five to six days works well for Da Nang and Hoi An; add two to three for Hue. Nha Trang leans toward coastal leisure and Da Lat toward highland life. A shared regional label does not make every stop suitable for one short trip.
Time & season
The coast and highlands do not share identical rain or temperatures. Heavy rain can affect low-lying areas in Hoi An and Hue; beaches depend on local sea conditions. Pack an extra layer for Da Lat mornings and evenings.
